The Best Cardio Exercises To Rapidly Lose Weight

Almost everyone out there on a weight loss diet program is focused on what they can do to help that weight come off faster.  One of the best methods of speeding up your progress is to add in some well thought-out exercise that will boost the metabolism and keep you looking lean and firm.

Cardio exercise is a type that does tend to burn off quite a bit of calories so can boost your daily calorie deficit.  Since it’s this deficit that determines whether or not you lose body fat, the higher you can bring it, the more chances you’re going to have of seeing success.

The following are some of the best cardio exercises that will help you rapidly lose weight.

Interval Sprinting

By far and away the single most effective form of cardio exercise for weight loss is interval sprinting.  Interval sprints will boost the metabolic rate up the highest after they have been performed and will cause you to burn more calories 24/7 – even while you’re parked in front of the TV later on that evening watching your favorite reality series.

The one thing to remember with interval sprinting however is that because it is a lot more intense, you shouldn’t be performing it daily but rather keeping your sessions to 2-4 per week total.

Hill Walking

Next, if interval running just isn’t your thing, consider hill walking to help you rapidly lose weight.  Hill walking is great because it will not only torch calories but will also firm up the highs, thighs, and bum region.

Anyone who wants to look better in their lower body will really enjoy the benefits that hill walking provides them.  Just be sure that you aren’t holding onto the handles of treadmill if you choose to do this inside the gym.  That will take much of the pressure off the legs to actually do the work.

Swimming Laps

Third, another great form of weight loss cardio is swimming laps.  Swimming, since it utilizes the whole body, will burn more calories than other forms of cardio and the best thing is that it’s completely low impact.

Anyone who is suffering from knee or back pain will do very well adding this to their program.

Rowing

A fourth great cardio method for fast weight loss is rowing. Like swimming, rowing is superior because not only will you be working the legs, but you’ll be targeting the upper body as well.  Most gyms do have a rowing cardio machine now so try that next time you’re there for something different.

Bootcamp

Finally, the last way to get in shape quickly is to try out one of the new bootcamp classes out there.  These are rapidly catching on among many people and will have you losing weight very quickly.  Best of all, since you’ll be constantly changing the exercises you’re doing, you will never get bored.

Most people have no problem sticking to a bootcamp style workout so that helps them see lasting results.

So consider all of these cardio forms if you’re looking for quick weight loss and a great way to get in shape.

What Not To Do To Lose Weight Quickly

Posted in Acai Berry, dieting, free trials, weight loss on May 18th, 2010 by Steve – Comments Off

ColoThin

There is no end of information, gadgets, guides, books, DVDs, and pills to use in order to lose weight quickly.  All you need to do is turn on the TV and you’ll see tons of ads for this and that new awesome product that will help you to lose weight.  The fact is, most of this stuff is absolute garbage, and it won’t truly help you to lose weight, let alone lose weight fast.  All you really need is to exercise often and properly, and to have the right nutrition.  But, instead of telling you how to go about losing weight fast, I am going to show you the things that you shouldn’t do if you want to lose weight.  Hopefully, by staying away from these things, you’ll be able to get that body and healthy lifestyle that you want.

Treadmill/Cardio – When you walk into the gym, what do you see?  Rows and rows of treadmills and so naturally you think that you should hop on the treadmill. You start to get a good sweat going, and each time you go, you realize you can run farther and faster, and you may even lose a little bit of weight.  But you’ll notice, that despite being able to run farther, longer and faster, you won’t be losing any weight.  This is because your body adapts to the running quickly, and becomes efficient at it.  This is great for breaking records, but not for losing weight.  If you really want to run on a treadmill, then you need to do intervals.  Sprint for a minute, and walk for a minute, sprint for a minute and walk for a minute.  This will confuse your body, leading to continual fat burn.

Starvation – Another thing that people want to try when they are trying to lose weight quick, is to starve themselves.  Either not eating at all, or eating very little is a technique that they think will help them to lose weight.  This is not only very unhealthy, but it will have the opposite effect. Your body will go into survival mode since it isn’t getting the food it needs, and it will hold onto and store all of the body fat you have to hold you over until you’re able to get food again.  And, if you eat any food, all of it will be stored as fat.  Instead of barely eating anything, it is best to just limit your calories.  Between 1200-1600 calories a day is good, depending on your weight.  You’ll need energy in order to work out the way you need to in order to get a good fat burn.  You’ll also need to be giving your body food so that it doesn’t store fat.

Thyroid Disorders And Weight Loss

Weight loss can be as easy as eating better and exercising more, but sometimes other problems get in the way. If you are trying to lose weight and it just seems impossible, don’t be angry at yourself or give up – find out if you have a condition that is interfering with your regimen.

Thyroid disorders are near the top of the pile when it comes to common conditions that can get in the way of your weight loss plan. 27 million Americans suffer from some sort of thyroid problem. Hypothyroidism accounts for about 80 percent of all thyroid disorders and occurs most frequently in women. Hypothyroidism can make you feel sluggish, achy, and lead to difficulties in dropping weight. It can also cause weight gain.

The biggest issue in dealing with hypothyroidism is that so many people do not realize they have the problem. After all, the symptoms read like sort of a bad day. But over time if these symptoms cannot be shaken off, it is wise to get tested for hypothyroidism and determine if your thyroid is producing enough of the necessary hormones.

Luckily, getting your thyroid checked is easy – you can even do it at home. From a small sample of blood your TSH levels can be determined. TSH is not actually produced by the thyroid – the pituitary gland releases it. However, the thyroid gland relies upon the level of TSH to “know” how much hormone it should be producing – so if your TSH levels are out of whack, your thyroid will be out of whack as well.

Treating your thyroid disorder is generally easy as well. Medication is available and not overly burdensome. When treated, it is likely that not only will weight loss be easier for you, but everything else will too, as common symptoms like fatigue and depression will also be addressed by better thyroid management.

If you’re finding it difficult to lose weight, be sure to be proactive and make sure you are not being held back by an undiagnosed thyroid problem. There’s no reason to be held back from the life you want by something as treatable as hypothyroidism!

Why Running On A Treadmill Can Be Beneficial To Your Health

Acai Max Cleanse

If you are out of shape and overweight, do not always think that you have to starve yourself to drop those extra pounds. The equation to remember is you need to burn at least as many calories per day as you consume. So you can reduce the number of calories you eat, or you can make sure you burn off all those calories you ate during the day. It is highly recommended to reach a good balance between exercise and healthy diet.

A great way to exercise is running on a treadmill. If you are a little sensitive about your weight, you might not want to go running outside, thinking that people will tease or make fun of you. Actually this doesn’t happen very often, and all you need to do is ignore it. Nevertheless, a running machine at home is an ideal solution. A separate benefit to running in the great outdoors is that you can run all year round, and you do not need to get psyched up for it. Just get on for five minutes at a fast walking pace to warm up; get off and gently stretch your warmed muscles; another five minutes at a brisk walking pace to get your pulse up to “exercise mode” and then speed up and do a 20 minute jog. Follow this by a brisk walk for five minutes and then stretch out again at the end.

A simple routine like this five days a week, with a couple of rest days will enhance your fitness and over time, if combined with some sensible reductions in calorie intake, will make you feel much better and healthier.

A second distinct advantage of running on a treadmill rather than down at the local park, is that most running machines have dampers under the deck, which are great for helping to absorb shock when you run. This will help to protect your joints against the pounding they would otherwise take running on a hard paved area. And this is even more important if you are overweight and have led a pretty sedentary lifestyle for the last few months or years, as it has been shown that bone density increases in the leg bones of people who run. Each stride produces an effective weight of 3-5 times your own body weight, and this is beneficial. If you are both overweight and your bones are less strong, then running without some extra shock absorption can lead to problems. So a treadmill is a great way of avoiding injuries at the beginning of a weight loss program.
