Healthy Eating: Fruit and Vegetable Diet

You know what? Perhaps our moms were right when they forced us to eat fruits and vegetables.  Admitting we were wrong and starting over with healthy eating is the best thing we could do for our bodies. Obesity has reached a new high, with heart disease becoming common conditions faced by women and men alike. You  probably love meat and cannot be a vegan, maybe not even vegetarian. Thankfully, you don’t even need to! With a fruit and vegetable diet, there’s no need to worry. Here’s a few tips of fruits and vegetable diets to get you started.

Easy transition

Start off by setting a goal. You might only want to flush out the system. You might just want to get rid of a few pounds. You might just want to reduce your risk of heart disease. Whatever it ism, jeep that in mind before you start.

Start with a shopping list. To help you, here’s a list of some fruits that are rich in fructose. Fructose is a form of sugar that helps convert your body fat. you should be cautious about eating dried fruits, plantains, bananas, grapes, dates and coconuts. Some fruits you should eat include all the berries, cantaloupe, watermelon, pears, papaya, grapefruit and apples. This list can go on!

For vegetables, you should start off with some hearty greens like spinach and lettuce. Scallions, eggplants, celery and artichokes are also a great idea. You should try to incorporate all the fruits and vegetables you possibly can in you diet.  If you can eat them raw, that’s even better. Most vegetables contain fiber and complex carbohydrates that can help the functioning of your entire digestive tract.

Realistic Goals

You will need to set goals to see any improvements. If you’re looking to lose a lot of weight set small goals for the weeks and a big goal for six months. This can help you see where it is that you are going. You will also need to drink tons of water and also talk to your doctor prior to changing your habits.

To solidify your goals, put them in writing. Sign it with your name and then put it in a place that will remind you of the contract you’ve just set.

Adjusting for your needs

Fruits and Vegetables Diets could be incorporated and don’t have to be all you eat. Just start off by eating more of the healthy items and compensate for it by cutting back on the other stuff. Eat at least two servings of fruits and a minimum of four servings for vegetables everyday. If you’ve started a diet, but have plateaued, try adding more vegetables into your diet.

Always remember to grab the strawberries before you grab the cake and grab the celery before you go for the donuts!
